Introduction: |
The C-Quads may not be the most attractive kites out there but for sheer pulling power, nothing can come close! |
|
Packaging, Style +Construction: |
The C-Quad comes in a bright yellow flat circular bag with an opening at the top into which you coil the kite up and put in. The C-Quads have different colours for each size but in different orders sometimes, with their bulky looking shape they'll never win any beauty contests but who cares about looks when its got such a tug on it. Some people say the spars always snap, others just shout about them falling out of the sky on them, the first part is a hard one, the spars can brake, but only if the kite is thrown into the ground or your not taking care of it, for a way to prevent the leading edge snapping on impact mail Kev. The C-Quads will sit at the top of the window as long as you like, unless your getting hit by gusts or have too little brake on it won't move. |
|
Jumping: |
The C-Quads have very little static lift while about your head, though they can still catch you out, if you want to jump the C-Quad isn't the best out there as it likes to luff as soon as you touch the ground again, if you want something stable to jump with your really going to have to go for a foil. |
|
KiteATB’ing: |
When boarding the C-Q will take you to your speed limits and beyond but unless your fast at running back upwind dont try jumping at the end of it. |
|
Final Summary: |
Packing away this kite isn't much more difficult that a foil. grab the spine's at the bottom, so the LE is in a circle, twist and put into bag, Simple! The C-Q may be great for buggying, but for KiteATB'ing it lacks that more solid feel that foils can give you, but in losing this solidness you get a very cheap, strong and very hard pulling kite which needs a different and more complex approach at flying it, but once you've aquired the knack you'll soo be able to do anything and go anywhere with this kite |
