Complex Grabs

Monday, September 25th, 2006

Woah, wanting to try some complex grabs now, you must be really getting into this! Check out some of the moves below, if you can do them then send in your photo for others to see and we will add to this page - Just comment or email rasga@kiteatb.co.uk

Indy

Using your leading hand, grab the board in the centre of the toeside edge while redirecting the kite with the trailing hand, this can be quite difficult for those less flexible.

Roastbeef

Similar to the Indy except you grab with either hand, through the middle of your legs, this is likely to be hard even for the most flexible of boarders!

Hoochie Glide

Do an Air Raley and use either hand to grab the heelside edge of the board whilst extended, this is a serious power move and will earn huge respect for anyone who dares!

Indybone

A mix of the Indy and Nose or Tailbone, as the name implys! Adds more style to your growing list of moves.

Flying Squirrel

My personal favourite grab, it always gets a bit of a gasp since both hands are off the bar, with a de-powerable kite its best to hook into the strop for this move, likewise it is with any kite on bar or handles, you don’t want to lose it after all!

Once in the air, start to redirect the kite, let go with both hands and grab the heelside edge between your feet and the ends of the board.
